DG WYNN Goes to MOPS

The Cherry Hills Community Church, MOPS Hearts group had me out to speak recently for 100 wonderful ladies.

Together, we tackled some of the fears we face in letting our friends and neighbors know that we are Christians. The session focused on several practical tools I presented to "live life as a witness", which practically evangelizes and spreads the Good News.

One of the biggest umbrellas this talk sits under is the command in 1 Peter 3:15

"...Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..."

We discussed ways that attract those who are interested instead of the ways that tend to repel everyone. No Bible-thumping here, rather good old fashioned being salt and light in the world and letting the goodness of the message be one that attracts those who are interested to feel the freedom to ask questions of us as ambassadors of Christ.

I was pretty pleased when Debbie Newton, one of the primary mentors of the CHCC MOPS Hearts group said this:

"DG Wynn was a fabulous speaker for our MOPS meeting. She shared on evangelism in a realistic and fun way. We were laughing, but also received her message that anyone can do this and we don't need to be afraid. She shared easy ways to let others know you are a Christian without making them run in fear of a lecture on faith in Jesus."

After the morning a variety of ladies approached me who were encouraged and empowered with the tools they had picked up on and I wish them "Godspeed!" as they venture out and try them in the world.
